when vintage buses and coaches, several of them appropriate to the Warminster area, are expected to operate on 14 free bus routes from Warminster Central Car Park (near the Rail Station) between 10 am & 5 pm. There will also be free feeder bus services operating to Warminster from surrounding towns and cities.
We now have in excess of 30 historic vehicles scheduled to take part, including some that have not participated in our event before – click here if you would like to see a list of them. As a result our bus parking area is now almost at capacity and so if you haven’t already told us that you are bringing a vehicle, we regret that we may not be able to accommodate you (please email us if this is likely to create a problem for you).
Our Timetable Programme booklets have now been posted out to anyone that had ordered one from us by mid September. If you have received one, please click on the “last minute Changes” button opposite to see a few late alterations that we have had to make to the Duty Rosters Book (we have also printed a update leaflet which will be available from the Control Bus on the day).
If you have not obtained your timetable booklet yet, there will be plenty available from our programme sellers on the day but be aware that some vehicles will only operating a small number of journeys, so if you want make sure that you get a ride on a particular bus, don’t forget to purchase a copy of the duty roster book at the same time.
HOW TO REACH US
By Bus / Train – as usual, a number of free feeder bus services will be operating to our event and the times of these can be downloaded by clicking on this map. This year the feeder services will be running from Bristol, Bath, Chippenham, Melksham, Trowbridge, Westbury, Radstock, Frome, Gillingham, Mere, Amesbury, Salisbury and Winchester with some extra pre-booked routes from further afield as shown in the above map.
If you are travelling by rail, there are direct trains to Warminster from Bristol, Bath, Trowbridge, Salisbury, Southampton and Portsmouth and our bus services will also be providing connections with certain trains at Bristol, Westbury, Salisbury and Gillingham stations. National Express also operate to Warminster from Portsmouth and Southampton, and Berrys Coaches “Superfast 3” provides a link to Warminster from various points in Somerset en route to London.

This page also includes a map to give you some ideas on where to park in the town (note that unless you are planning on arriving before 10am, please do not try to park in central car park as half of it will be full of vintage buses and the rest usually fills up with cars very quickly!).
Stopping Overnight – If you need to stay overnight in the area, rooms still seem to be available at the Travelodge on the outskirts of Warminster, but be aware that it is about 1.5 miles from the centre of the town and is not on an ordinary bus route (although we may be able to arrange for a feeder bus to pick you up there on request on the day). However, if you are relying on public transport to visit our event, you might find it easier to stay in Bristol, Bath or Salisbury and use one of our feeder services (or a train) to reach us on the Sunday – some links to local accomodation websites can be found at the bottom of this page on our website.
